My research interests include bone metastasis, cancer dormancy, and cellular crosstalk within the metastatic bone microenvironment. My project focuses on the development of 3D in vitro models of the bone to investigate the effects of bone matrix mineralization on osteoclast behavior and subsequent metastatic outgrowth.
I received my B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Utah. During undergrad, my research focused on differentiating murine embryonic stem cells into megakaryocytes and creating platelets using microfluidic systems. Outside of the lab, I enjoy baking, watching movies, trying new restaurants, and playing with my cats.
