I received my B.S. in Genetics & Cell Biology and my B.A. in Chemistry from Washington State University in 2022. My research there used genetically engineered yeast models to study the role of defective mismatch repair mechanisms in oncogenic BRAF mutations. I am now pursuing my PhD through the Biomedical and Biological Sciences Program at Cornell.

My current research interests include tumor progression, tumor microenvironment interactions, and therapeutic target identification. More specifically, my project will investigate the relationship between mammary adipose tissue and primary breast cancer progression. Outside of lab, I engage in K-12 outreach, and I enjoy reading, traveling, arts/crafts, and watching movies in my free time.
