Samiha Anjum

I am an undergraduate in the Class of 2028, majoring in Biological Sciences at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. I work with PhD candidate Brianna Knode to investigate the role of adipose tissue mechanics in remodeling the ECM architecture, and the influence of these changes in breast cancer cell migration. Inspired by the work of scientists in developing novel medical treatments, I hope to attend graduate school and continue conducting research to learn more about cancer biology and viable therapeutics.
Outside of the lab, I am an event supervisor for Science Olympiad at Cornell, a student administrative assistant in the Office of the Vice Provost for Research, and a member of the American Cancer Society chapter at Cornell. In my free time, I enjoy taking long walks, baking, and spending time with friends.
